CABLE TERMINAL - 2 items per article
It is composed of a stainless steel AISI304 ferrule: L = 40 mm THK – 1.5 mm
The internal diameter of the ferrule supplied is 1 mm greater than the cable in question.
Available cable diameters are: Ø 8 - Ø10 - Ø12 - Ø14 - Ø16
Consequently available ferrule dimensions are: Ø9 - Ø11 - Ø13 - Ø15 - Ø17
TWO ferrules are required for each section of cable.
When ordering, please specify the cable diameter and the number of individual sections.
The price for (two) terminals is equal regardless of diameter.
INSTALLATION
To place the terminal without the use of a specific tool, continue as follows:
- Once you have specified the exact length of cable to be cut from the coil, wrap the area with strong adhesive tape (reinforced or canvas tape is ideal).
- Use a flexible tool with a cutting edge and cut through the cable in the centre of the taped section.
- Insert the two terminals from the smoothed end.
- Remove any remaining tape then use an injector gun to cover the end of the cable in a small amount of epoxy resin.
- Bring the ferrule into position at the end of the cable, turning it to ensure a good covering of resin. Spread a small amount of resin on the very end of the cable, ensuring there are no protruding or exposed wires. Clean any excess glue with a cloth or paper towel and leave it to dry. Do not touch the terminal until the resin has cast (at least a few hours, depending on ambient temperature). The terminal is now fixed solidly in place.
