DEPARTURE ANCHOR WITH 3 CLAMPS

A new anchor designed specifically for departure/end anchors of a section of cable.

The cable must be held directly to the anchor through the three in-built clamps and not using a thimble on a loop of the cable itself.

This has the obvious and significant advantage of removing the need to “bend” the cable around the thimble before clamping it effectively between the clamps which can be very difficult with rigid metal wire such as 49 strand cable.

The quality of the anchor exceeds requirements as long as there are anchors placed below it which are suitable to the force applied.

The knurled section on the shank is 120 mm 

INSTALLATION

See the attached technial sheet.

This anchor must be completely fixed to the rock so that the built-in clamps are positioned approximately 5 cm from the rock surface.

The anchor must face the same direction as the cable and the cable must have a terminal cap at its end.

Once the cable is positioned in the anchor, tighten all the nuts to the appropriate torque.
