U-CLAMP ANCHOR FOR CREST

A large stainless steel AISI304 U-clamp anchor for the creation of ridge “handrails” in exposed and precarious situations.

In effect it forms a “supporting column” in ribbed rebar of Ø20 mm and L = 700 m.

The wide diameter is important for added resistance to transversal force.

It is TIG-welded to a 8 mm x 30 mm plate which is fitted with a stainless steel clamp with two transversal holes.

The clamp holds the Ø12mm cable in a horizontal position.

INSTALLATION

Where possible, choose an area of hard solid rock.

Drill the hole to a diameter of 24/26 mm.

Choose a depth appropriate to the rock: for safety we recommend a depth of at least 250mm.

The length of anchor chosen must correspond with the height of the cable from the ground once everything is in place.
