BELAY GROUP Ø10x80 + 1 R5000 A316L

art. 184

CLASSIC BELAY STATION: WITHOUT DOUBT ONE OF THE MOST COMMONLY USED SYSTEMS TO EQUIP ROCK ROUTES.

Classic stainless steel belay station used on the best rock and climbing routes.

Consequently this anchor is suitable for all disciplines (climbing, mountaineering and canyoning).

A stainless steel AISI 316L (2013) belay station composed of two SUPERSTAR Ø10x80 bolts (art.160), a chain (art.175) and a fixed wiregate “R5000” carabiner (art.600).

Warning! the belay group is not certified. The individual Superstar comply with the EN and the carabiner is certified (see separate data sheets).

The body of the carabiner is formed of 12mm thick stainless steel, which allows for optimum durability and resistance.

Positioned inside a strong round 10mm thick ring, it hangs perpendicular to the rock; this makes this station multidirectional and extremely versatile.

This is particularly useful for rope retrieval as it can be weight-loaded on either side without catching on the rock.

To be placed using epoxy resin. Like all our stances, this belay station allows the upper anchor to be placed left or right of the lower anchor, doubling the placement possibilities.

For placement using epoxy resin, please see the instructions on art. 160, SUPERSTAR Ø10x80mm. (Method “A").

ATTENTION! The classic “SUPERSTAR Ø10x80” anchors can be substituted with larger and longer anchors such as the “MASTERFIX” (art.151 - 125 - 525) or equivalent, on request.

This can be very useful when the rock is very soft or loose. However this naturally incurs an additional cost.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

From 2013 the material used in the majority of our anchors is now stainless steel AISI 316L, which offers a higher resistance to marine corrosion than the former AISI 304.

To highlight this change each article is stamped with the relevant symbols.

Attention: There is also a “Marina” version of this anchor which is highly resistant to saline corrosion.

To mark the difference between stainless steel AISI 316L and the marina version of the same material, all marine-suitable anchors have been marked with a fish symbol and the initials “INOX".

We recommend reading the attached PDF document for a detailed explanation of the problems presented by marine corrosion.
