Designed specifically for emergency abseils; an indispensable article when an abseil descent is the only option.
This stainless steel AISI 316L ring has been designed to enable a safe abseil retreat for emergency use.
It is recommended to combine this article with a Kevlar or Dyneema sling which must be placed on a strong and safe natural anchor or a suitable peg.
Thread the abseil ropes through the ring to the halfway point.
To ensure a safe abseil, tie a knot to join the two ends.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
- Very light – only 40 grams.
- Excellent breakage resistance – over 35 kN.
- Very small… although liable to get lost somewhere in the rucksack!
- Polished and smoothed surface to allow the rope to move freely.
- Very cost-effective (even less than a Chinese-made maillon…)
